This premium direct box converts a line, instrument or speaker level signal to low impedance balanced mic level. The input is Hi-Z bridging and its features include a 30dB pad switch for selecting between line, instrument, or speaker level and a switchable low pass filter to eliminate amplifier noise and a ground lift switch on the Lo-Z output. 'DI' or 'Direct Boxes' stand for Direct Injection and their main purpose is to convert unbalanced and/or high impedance instrument signals into a format suitable for direct connection to a mixing console without the use of a microphone.
